HONEY CHILLI GOBI

                                          HONEY CHILLI GOBI 

Honey chilli gobi is one my favourite dish. It contains both sweet and spicy flavour. Usually when we go to restaurant we try it. Same way i tried at home it turned oyt excellent. My kids liked it very much. 

Lets get started 


INGREDIENTS 
Chilli powder - 1 tsp 
Tomato ketchup - 1 tbsp 
Soya sauce - 1 tsp
Onions (finely chopped) - 2 tbsp
Ginger (finely chopped) - 1 tsp 
Garlic (finely chopped) - 1 tsp 
Salt - to taste 
Honey - 1 tbsp
Sesame seeds - 1 tsp 
Oil - for deep frying 

FOR MARINATION 
Cauliflower (medium size) - 1 
Maida - 1/2 cup 
Corn flour - 2 tbsp
Salt - to taste 
Chilli powder - 1 tsp 
Pepper - 1 tsp

PROCEDURE 
- Add cauliflower in a boiling hot water and leave it for 10 minutes and drain the water and keep aside 
- In a vessel add in all the FOR MARINATION items and marinate for 10 minutes 
- Deep fry the marinated cauliflowers 
- In a kadai add in oil 
- Add chopped garlic, ginger, onions, tomato sauce, soya sauce, chilli powder, salt and water and allow it to boil for 2 minutes 
- Add in fried cauliflowers and mix 
- Add in honey and mix evenly 
- Sprinkle some sesame seeds on the top 

STEP BY STEP PICTURES 



Add cauliflowers in boiling hot water 






In a bowl add in maida 







Add in corn flour 







Add in salt 







Add in chilli powder 







Add in pepper powder







Add in drained cauliflower 







Sprinkle some water and mix well and let it sit for 10 minutes 






Deep fry the marinated cauliflowers 






In a kadai add in oil 







Add in chopped garlic 







Add in chopped ginger 







Add in chopped onions and saute for 20 to 30 seconds 






Add in tomato ketchup 







Add in soya sauce and mix 







Add in chilli powder







Add in salt 







Add in 2 tbsp of water and allow it to boil 






Add in fried cauliflower and mix evenly 






Add in honey and mix evenly 







While serving sprinkle some sesame seeds

Honey chilli gobi is ready to serve

VEGETABLE KURUMA

                  VEGETABLE KURUMA 

Vegetable kuruma is one of the favourite side dish. As it is loaded with vegetables it is healthy and tasty. I have tried this vegetable kuruma lot of times everytime it turned out well and everyone like it very much. This is absolutely my own style of doing it. Now here iam going to share the receipe with you 

Lets get started 

INGREDIENTS 
Carrot - 2 
Beans - 6 to7 
Potato - 1 
Onions(chopped) - 1
Tomatoes(chopped) - 1
Curry leaves - 1 strand 
Oil - 2 tbsp 
Salt - to taste 
Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tsp 
Pudhina leaves(chopped) - 1 tsp 

TO GRIND 
Coconut - 1 cup 
Fried gram dhal (pottu kadalai) - 1 tbsp 
Red chilli - 5
Garlic - 10 pods 
Ginger - 1 inch 
Small onions(shallots) - 10 
Cinnamon sticks - 1 inch 
Cloves - 4 
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp 
Cashew - 5 to 6 

PROCEDURE 
- In a mixie jar add in all the TO GRIND items and grind to a smooth paste 
- In a cooker add in oil and add curry leaves 
- Add in chopped onions and saute till it gets cooked well and turns transparent 
- Add in chopped tomatoes and saute till oil leave the sides 
- Add in grinded masala paste and saute till raw smell goes away and oil leave the sides 
- Add in chopped veggies and saute for about 2 minutes 
- Add in water and salt and allow it to boil 
- Close the cooker and leave it for 3 to 4 whistles 
- Add in chopped coriander leaves and pudhina leaves and allow it to boil for 1 minute 
- Serve it hot with chapathi, parotta, idli, dosa

Add in ginger 







Add in small onions 







Add in grated coconut 







Add in fried gram dhal (pottu kadalai)






Add in cinnamom stick 







Add in cloves 







Add in fennel seeds 







Add in red chillies 







Grind it to a paste 







In a cooker add in oil 







Add in curry leaves 







Add in chopped onions and saute till it becomes transparent 






Add in tomatoes and saute  






Saute till it becomes mushy







Add in grinded masala 







Saute till oil leave the sides 







Add in chopped vegetables 







Mix everything evenly and saute for few seconds 






Add in water to adjust consistency 






Add in salt and close the cooker and cook for 3 whistles 






Add in coriander leaves and pudhina leaves and allow to boil for 1 or 2 minutes 






Vegetable kuruma is ready to serve 





TIPS 
- In this i have added only three vegetables you can add green peas, cauliflower, beetroot also 
- Grind the masala little coarsely

BADAM MILK

                        BADAM  MIL

Badam milk is one of the most favourite drink of mine. Initially i uased to make using readymade badam milk powder. Then one day i tried using full badam and cashews turned out very well. This can be drunk hot or cold. Usually i prefer cold but my husband prefer hot. So am going to share the receipe with you all 

Lets get started 

INGREDIENTS 
Badam - 25
Cashews - 25
Saffron - 5 to 6 strands
Food colour (yellow) - 1 tsp  
Milk - 1 litre 
Sugar - 1/4 cup

PROCEDURE 
- Soak the badam overnight or soak in hot water of one hour 
- Peel the skin 
- Take the badam and cashews and grind into coarse paste 
- In a kadai add in grinded paste add in water and mix evenly without lumps 
- Add in sugar 
- Add in saffron strands and food colour 
- Allow it to boil till the water evaporates and raw smell goes away 
and allow to cool down 
- Add in milk and mix evenly 
- Allow it to boil for 10 mins and serve hot 

STEP BY STEP PICTURES 



Soak badam overnight or soak in hot water for one hour 









Peel the badam skin 









Take cashews 









Grind coarsely 









Add in kadai 









Add in water and mix evenly without lumps 








Add in sugar 









Add in saffron strands 









Allow it to boil till it gets cooked well










Add in food colour (yellow) and alow it to cool down 








Add in milk and mix evenly 









Allow it to boil for 10 mins 









Serve hot 







TIPS 
- If you want to serve cold mix the milk and keep it in fridge and serve cold 
- You can also add chilled milk and mix 
- You can avoid the food colour also. You wont get yellow colur but taste will be the same
