PODI DOSA
Podi dosa is my favourite. It is not just sprinkling podi on dosa. We make special chutney and podi for this dosa. Always this turns out very good. So am here to share the receipe.
Lets get started
INGREDIENTS
Dosa batter - 1 cup
FOR MAKING CHUTNEY
Small onions(shallots) - 1 cup
Red chilli - 3
Tamarind - small piece
Salt - to taste
FOR MAKING PODI
Cashew - 5 to 6
Red chilli - 3
Coconut - 1/2 cup
Fried gram dhal - 1 cup
Garlic - 3 to 4 pods
Salt - to taste
PROCEDURE
CHUTNEY
- Grind small onions, red chilli, tamarind, salt to a smooth paste
- Chutney is ready
PODI
- Dry roast cashew , coconut, red chilli, fried gram dhal seperately
- Add all the dry roasted ingredients in a mixie jar
- Add also add other items from FOR MAKING PODI and grind to a fine powder
- Podi is ready
TO MAKE DOSA
- Heat the dosa pan
- Take one laddle of batter and spread thin dosa
- Add one spoonfull of chutney and spread
- Sprinkle podi all over the dosa and close with the lid
- Fold and serve hot

FOR CHUTNEY
Take small onions, red chilli, tamarind
Grind it to smooth paste
Chutney is ready
FOR PODI
In a kadai add in cashews and dry roast
Add in red chilli and dry roast
Add in coconut and dry roast
Add in fried gram dhal and roast for roast for 1 minute
Add in roasted fried gram dhal and pulse for seconds
Add in roasted cashew
Add in dry chilli
Add in coconut
Add in garlic
Add in salt
Grind it to a fine powder
Chutney and podi is ready
In a dosa pan take a laddle of dosa batter and spread like thin dosa
Take a spoon full of chutney and spread evenly
Sprinkle podi and oil
Fold and serve hot
