WHITE CHANNA SUNDAL

                               WHITE CHANNA SUNDAL 

White channa is one of the healthiest grams. During this navarathri period white channa sundal is one of the famous prasadam and healthy too. 

Lets get started 


INGREDIENTS 
White channa - 1 cup
Coconut - 3 tbsp 
Green chilli - 1 
Jeera seeds - 1 tsp 
Oil - 1 tsp 
Mustard - 1 tsp 
Curry leaves - 1 strand 
Asafoetida - 1 tsp 
Salt - to taste 

PROCEDURE 
- Soak the channa for overnight or 8 hours 
- Boil the channa by adding salt 
- In a mixie jar add in coconut, green chilli, jeera grind it coarsly without adding water 
- In a kadai add in oil 
- Add in mustard seeds and allow to splutter 
- Add in curry leaves, asafoetida, curry leaves and saute 
- Add in grinded paste and saute for 5 seconds
- Add in salt  
- Now add in boiled channa 
- And mix everything evenly 
- Finally add in grated coconut and mix evenly 
- Now white channa sundal is ready

Soak channa for overnight 







Add soaked channa in a cooker 








Add in salt and water and cook 






Drain the boiled channa 







In a mixie jar add in coconut 







Add in green chilli 







Add in jeera seeds 







Grind it coarsely without adding water 







In a kadai add in oil 






Add in mustard and allow to splutter 






Add in asafoetida







Add in curry leaves 








Add in grinded coconut and saute 






Add in salt and mix evenly 







Add in boiled channa 







Mix evenly and adjust the salt 







Add in grated coconut and mix evenly 

This is the complete optional step 





Channa sundal is ready to serve as prasadam
