RAGDA PATTICE

                                              RAGDA PATTICE 

Ragda pattice is one of the most popular street of maharastra and gujarat. It is a bit long procedure but the final result is tasty and yummy. It consists of dried peas gravy, aloo tikki, green chutney for chats , Imley chutney and plate it together in a plate. 

INGREDIENTS 

FOR ALOO TIKKI 
Potatoes - 5 to 6 
Chilli powder - 1 tsp 
Salt - to taste 
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp 
Jeera powder - 1 tsp 
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp 

RAGDA 
White peas or Green peas - 1/4 kg 
Chilli powder - 1 tsp 

TO GRIND
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp 
Pudhina leaves - 1 tbsp 
Onions (big) - 1 
Tomatoes - 1 
Jeera powder - 1 tbsp 
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp 
Cooked peas - 1/2 cup 
Salt - to taste 

FOR SERVING
Onions (finely chopped) - 1 
Carrots(grated) - 1 
Green chutney - to taste 
Imley chutney - to taste  

PROCEDURE 
RAGDA

- Soak the peas for 8 hours and cook them into mushy in a cooker 
- In a mixer jar add in all TO GRIND items into smooth paste 
- Add the grinded mixture into cooked peas and one cup of water 
- Allow it to boil till it reaches the consistency
- Now ragda is ready to serve. 

ALOO TIKKI (PATTY)

- Boil the potatoes by adding little salt 
- Once boiled mash the potatoes 
- Add in salt, chilli powder, jeera powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and mash well
- Now make the potatoes into tikki shape 
- In tawa add oil and place the tikkis and roast till it becomes golden and remove in a plate 
- Now patties are ready 

SERVING 
- In a bowl add  ragda 
- Place two  to three aloo tikki on it 
- Add in chopped onions and grated carrots 
- Add in green chutney and Imley chutney and serve 
- Ragda pattice is ready to serve 
- Add in more ragda on the top if you like the taste

RAGDA 



Soak the peas and boil it till mushy by adding salt 






In a mixie jar add in onion





 

Add in tomato








Add in coriander powder 







Add in ginger garlic paste 







Add in pudhina leaves 







Add in coriander leaves 







Add in cooked peas and grind into smooth paste and add into cooked peas 







Add in chilli powder and water 







Allow it to boil till reaches the consistency 





ALOO TIKKI (PATTY ) 


Cut the potatoes into two halves 






Add in little salt and keep it for 3 to 4 whistles 







Peel the skin and mash the potatoes 






Add in chilli powder 









Add in salt




 


Add in garam masala 







Add in jeera powder 







Add in coriander powder 







Add in turmeric powder 






Mix everything into a dough form 







Make into a patty shape 






In a tawa add oil and once heated up place the patty's and roast till becomes golden on both the sides 




SERVING THE RAGDA PATTY 



In a bowl pour the ragda 









Place in aloo tikki 








Add in chopped onions




 


Add in grated carrots 









Add in green chutney 







Add in imley chutney 








Ragda pattice are ready to serve
