Parathas are one of the dish which is made using stuffing. Pudhina paratha is one of the dish which i started doing when my son was small. He hate keerai and veggies so to make him eat some keerai i started doing chapathis with keerai in this following method but other than all other keerais this pudhina was the super duper hit. so iam sharing the receipe here
INGREDIENTS
Wheat flour - 1 cup
Pudhina - 1 full kattu
Jeera - 1 tsp
Green chilli - 3
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - for making chapathis
PROCEDURE
- In a kadai take 1 tsp of oil
- Add in jeera and green chillies
- Add in pudhina leaves and saute till leaves shrink and allow it to cool
- Once get cooled grind it to a paste
- In a bowl add in wheat flour add in salt, chilli powder, garam masala and pudhina paste
- Make into soft chapathi dough and let it sit for 30 minutes
- Roll the dough into chapathis and toast on tawa
- Apply ghee on the paratha
- Hot parathas are ready to serve
SERVING SUGGESTIONS
- Serve parathas with curd or pickle.
STEP BY STEP PICTURES
In a kadai add oil
Add in jeera
Add in green chillies
Add in pudhina leaves and saute till it shrink and allow to cool down
Once cool down grind to a smooth paste
In a vessel add in wheat flour
Add in salt
Add in chilli powder and garam masala
Add in grounded pudhina paste and make into chapathi dough
Make the dough into balls and let it rest for 30 minutes
Roll the dough into chapathi
Place the rolled chapathi into tawa and toast till turns golden on both sides
Apply ghee on the top
Serve hot with curd or pickle or any curry.
