RIDGE GOURD CHUTNEY

RIDGE GOURD CHUTNEY 

Ridge gourd chutney is one of the most tastier and healthy dish .
This is my moms dish she does it very oftenly . Ridge gourd is one of the very healthy veggie. This chutney goes well with rice and dosa 

 

INGREDIENTS 
Ridge gourd - 1 (medium)
Toor dhal - 1 tsp 
Sesame seeds - 1 tsp 
Red chillies - 1 
Garlic - 2 to 3  pods 
Ghee - 1 tsp 
Salt - to taste 

PROCEDURE 
- Peel the ridge gourd and cut into pieces 
- In a kadai add in ghee and saute ridge gourd saute until gets cooked 
- Remove the ridge gourd in a plate and in same kadai add in red chillies ,toor dhal and saute for a minute 
- Now add in sesame seeds and saute for a minute 
- Add everything in a mixie jar and add garlic pods add in salt and grind to a smooth paste

Cut the veggies and keep aside 









In a kadai add in ghee 








Add in diced ridge gourd 









Saute till it becomes soft and transparent 









In same kadai add in toor dhal 









Add in red chilli and saute everything 








Add in sesame seeds and saute for 5 seconds 









Add everything in a mixie jar 









Add in garlic pods 









Add in salt and grind to a smooth paste 








Serve with hot rice and any pappad
